The Eton
Satellit 750 bridges the great price divide
that exists when it
comes to a quality desktop Shortwave
receiver and one for which you
won't need to pay a second
mortgage!
Frequency entry
is quick, via the front keypad; favourites
can be entered and stored
in the
memory with ease. The
main rotary control, as well as providing
the variable
frequency tuning option, also permits scrolling through
the memories when in "Memory mode".
Good quality
audio is provided by a front-facing speaker,
with independent bass
and treble controls. Other user-
friendly controls include signal
attenuator, squelch,
variable RF Gain, an S-Meter, and other nice
touches
like 2x BNC outputs for use with external antennas, a
stereo
line output, and wide & narrow filters fitted.
The receiver has
full Shortwave HF coverage with
AM/LSB/USB modes available, LW, MW,
FM (stereo
with headphones) and VHF Civil AirBand.
Please be aware, however, that the AirBand sensitivity is
not
comparable to that of a Scanning Receiver and there
is no scanning
facility.
