new compact handheld scanning receiver from Alinco
providing the user, for the first time, as far as I know,
a removable keypad. This allows the choice of either an "Advanced" operation via the keypad, or a
"Simplified"
operation with a keypad cover in place. Another feature unique to the DJ-X30E is Automatic Input Switching - this permits coupling of another audio device, such as an MP3 player (with the EDS-12 Remote Control) to the scanner, you can then listen to music and hear signals from the X30E when it receives something. All in all, this is certainly a very innovative product from Alinco. And whilst having new and advanced features, it is user friendly in its basic operation, with good AirBand performance. Usefully, for 'near field' or discrete operation eg an airshow or inside an airport terminal, when using an earphone or headphones, the cable will act as an aerial. Frequency Range:
