 Offering a comprehensive range of features, combined with ultra wide frequency coverage, the Icom IC-R20  is a top of the line set which will satisfy even the most ardent scanner user and is one I'd certainly suggest for those perhaps looking to replace an aging Yupiteru MVT-7100. Whilst appearing at first glance to be somewhat complex, the basic programming and scanning operations are user friendly, in fact, frequency inputting  is the quickest / easiest I've ever used, as Icom have cleverly omitted the need to press  "Enter" after keying digits. The frequency comes up as the last number is pressed.

Basic memory is 1000 channels in 10 banks of 100, this is supplemented with 200 Auto Memory Write channels and 50 Scan Edge (commonly referred to as Search Limit) channels.

An integrated Digital IC Recorder allows you to record received audio for up to 260 minutes and Icom's very useful Dualwatch capability means you can monitor two frequencies simultaneously, as illustrated in photo.

All in all, one of the best products currently available, irrespective of price.
