 The PSR-282  is a user friendly set,  making it ideal for anyone as a first time buy,  providing coverage of the VHF and UHF amateur radio bands, VHF Marine band,  PMR (Private Mobile Radio) and Utility bands, as well as the Civil Airband. 

Based on "traditional" scanner  principles, rather than that of  later "menu driven" designs,  200  memory channels will provide most users with a more than adequate amount of frequency storage which can be conveniently arranged in to separate banks.
