IT IS NOT.

What it is, is a handy multi-band radio with a digital display, covering the  AirBand, Marine Band, FM and AM Broadcast bands. Tuning is provided by pressing the up and down arrow keys, and when the desired frequency is found, this can be stored in to a memory channel. Recall of a memory channel is achieved by pressing one of the station preset buttons. 

The SAB-2006 is ideal for the occasional  AirBand listener, where usage doesn't warrant a Scanner.
