The UBC30XLT is a dinky little scanner from Uniden and is the closest there's been to a dedicated AirBand receiver for sometime. Whilst it does cover more than AirBand,  its' frequency range is restricted to that of VHF bands, covering several popular and useful areas of interest, including Marine, 2 metre Amateur, VHF Public Service bands and for good measure, Broadcast FM !

Because of its' size, there is no numeric keypad, so a frequency has to be  "searched for" rather like a car radio and then stored into one of the 200 memory channels available. Cleverly, the memory can be varied  to the users' preference, eg you might want 150 AirBand, 30 Marine and 20 Broadcast, rather than the more usual arrangement of 20 channels in 10 banks.

So whether you’re on the coast, at an airport or miles from anywhere the UBC30XLT gives you everything you need for listening in to the action.
