 Uniden have departed from the traditional scanner memory  ie xxx channels (in xx banks of xxx) and opted for DACM, Dynamically Allocated Channel Memory. This provides the user with much greater memory management flexibility, allowing the tagging of individual channels and grouping of channels eg Area Airways, unrestricted within the maximum available, ie 2500.

 The AirBand sensitivity is much improved over previous Uniden models and even rivals the famed Yupiteru MVT-7100, however this set does take a bit of getting used to when programming.
