Without doubt the best specified compact scanner released to date. It provides a full, unbroken frequency coverage of  100kHz to 1300MHz and all reception modes, including Upper & Lower Side Band for short wave. The design uses 'traditional' frequency input via a key pad with secondary function options on the keys. Menu selected options, allow access to the many features provided.

Compact dimensions makes the VR500 an ideal all purpose receiver to take around with you anywhere - airports, air shows, harbours, holidays, around town etc.

A clear back lit LCD display provides two lines of information showing in memory mode, stored frequency and user added station name. Also displayed is signal strength indication or band scope range - useful in VFO mode to show signal activity either side of the frequency selected.
